Pope Francis has created a lot of respect and followership already in his short tenure. This comes from his authenticity. While he stays true to his fundamental values, he adapts them in content and format to the ever changing modern world.
One example is his address to the leaders of the Roman Curia last Christmas. He surprised everybody with his bluntness. Gary Hamel paraphrased the Pope’s address to corporate language. It is worth a read for everybody who wants to lead.
